First of all, I apologize that my initial post has taken so long to surface! I have actually been writing incessantly since arriving in an effort to process the sensory overload that is Manila, but synthesizing it all seemed overwhelming. My experiences were so new, my writings disjointed, and my perspective untrustworthy - shifting from day to day. But today I feel rather at home in my corner of Quezon City.

We just finished our CAPI training in Victoria, BC. I am headed to the Philippines in January to begin my 6 month placement in Quezon City. A previous intern, Chany, interviews me on my initial thoughts before I head off in the new year!
